Jenny Lewis, Art Student

Who are we?

We are a community of artists, art teachers, and volunteers joined by a common purpose: to lead the first global art movement in history. Imagine a world in which every single person has access to the teachings of every culture. That’s our commitment.

1. We share our knowledge freely.

We can end childhood artlessness in Denver by sharing our knowledge of art. Denver’s best teachers can now share their teaching tools, textbooks, and lesson plans in Denver’s neediest teachers. We bring our richest knowledge to our poorest schools.

2. We protect your artistic rights.

Our coalition of legal institutions ensures you have the right to freedom of public exhibit. You have the right to freedom of expression. You have the right to free exchange of ideas. Our public galleries, online public exhibits, and printed public catalog are free all of Denver to use.

3. We help safeguard your personal heritage.

We empower cultural teachers. Professors at DPAU share their personal heritages with the world. Our systems preserve your teachings. Professors can also invite others to collaborate and share: with all changes backed up online, forever.

4. We help preserve our culture

Denver arts and humanities have a unique place in the world. We host and manage the epicenter for the global art movement – the first in our planet’s history. By sharing Denver’s citywide culture to the world, we invite other cities to do the same. We even give you the tools to do so.

5. We create a stronger city for us all

Thanks to our amazing volunteers and our generous grassroots supporters, the citizens of Denver are uniting.

We are building a city with more jobs, more culture, more beauty, and more global recognition for the good we do here: a city where the art doesn’t need to be sprayed on local businesses because our talented citizens have access to the paint, canvas, and dignity they deserve. Volunteer for Denver Art Society.

  3. Uphold the ideal of free expression through hosting open discussions, open forums, and open classes
  4. Defend the right of all peaceful art to exist
  5. Teach any child who asks to learn how to draw
